Layla Concept #2

This is an oldie. How do I know? This has been on my computer since 2011. (Or was it 2012?) This is Layla. The character Marinta and I created a few years ago. Be warned fellow watchers! This is not her finalized design. You will, however, see that one soon. I promise.

For a recap, since it has been quite some time, Layla is the fanmade wife of Atem in ancient Egypt. I did some research, and the weddings in the royal branch were arranged marriages, sometimes to cousins or even a stranger. The good thing that came out of it was that Ancient Egyptians DESPISED rape. They would punish those who sexually assaulted anyone no matter the gender. It's *sniff* actually quite beautiful and refreshing knowing that.

Back to the topic! This woman you are seeing on your screen today is Atem's 'Great Wife'. Who is the Great Wife? If my memory serves me well, the Great Wife was the woman who would bear the Pharaoh's children; she would be responsible for the future heirs. If that is correct, then so be it. If not, then PLEASE tell me, because that research was done a long time ago. Some things from that year are a bit fuzzy.
